Course rigor guide
When you log a class in the Academics tab, you'll pick one or more rigor levels — this is how each one affects your weighted GPA.
| Level | GPA weight | What it means |
|---|---|---|
AP Advanced Placement | +1.0 | College-level coursework capped off with a standardized exam (scored 1–5) that many colleges accept for credit. The most heavily weighted level in your GPA. |
Honors Honors | +0.5 | A faster-paced, more in-depth version of the on-level course at your school, without an external standardized exam. |
Advanced Advanced / Pre-AP | +0.5 | Similar rigor bump to Honors — some schools use "Advanced" or "Pre-AP" instead as the name for this tier. Check your own school's course catalog for which term it uses. |
On Level On Level / Standard | +0.0 | The standard version of a course, graded on the regular 4.0 scale with no weighting bonus. |
How the math works: your unweighted grade (on a standard 4.0 scale) gets the weight bonus added on top, capped at 5.0 — so an A (4.0) in an AP class counts as 5.0, while the same A in an On Level class stays at 4.0. Your weighted GPA on the Academics tab is the credit-weighted average of every class you've logged this way.
